Whats been happening in Feb./March:

First surf day was an awesome time had by all! Even with short notice and not on one of our regular days we had a real turn out. Relationships have really grown since 2005 and its great to see such a great vibe between the students, TPC and CS crew.

Lately we have been putting alot into resource development with new boards, marquees, BBQ and Esky and I’d like to publicly thank Wayne on behalf of the crew here as he has been nothing short of legendary in assisting us to get kitted out wherever possible – Cheers mate!

Since 2005 we have wanted to serve the surfing community through involvement in the state surf comps but it hasn’t been until this year that things have opened up in this area. Recently, after getting the go ahead, the whole crew banded together and drove 6 hours to the states NW corner for a 3-day comp over the March long weekend serving drinks and snacks and having a crack in the comp. What a weekend it was testing us all out after arriving at 2:30am being kept up by some hooligans till 3:30am getting up at 7am, heading to the venue setting up getting blown away by onshore winds, having hooligans keep us up again the next night till 3:30 this time with fire-crackers and burn-outs then another early start with more onshore winds before we escaped to a friends farm for the last night – no wind, no hooligans and relative peace and quiet..ah… and just before heading home a wrecked trailer tyre and no spare also proved testing  but thanks be to some friends in the network who saved our butts managing to scrounge up an oddly fitting but workable wheel and indeed spotting the dodgey stuffed delaminated trailer tyre in the first place saving us from potential disaster once we had hit the road.. BUT what a weekend – great time spent together serving and surfing! Thanks for an awesome weekend guys! Oh yea and we raised $173 for SurfAid!
